1. What was your experience in college like?
Amazing, eye opening and, in more ways than I thought, easier than high school. You get to major in things that you love, grow your independence, make new lifelong friendships, study abroad, get involved in the community, and have FUN! College is what you actively choose to make of it, and it's an ever-evolving experience.
2. What is your biggest hope for your students in college?
That you are all able to flourish doing the things you love, seize opportunities that come your way, and recognize that failures or disappointments are important redirections. I hope that you try new things, and make good choices that you feel align with who you are and who you are truly meant to become. I know you will thrive!
3. What is your fondest memory of this cohort?
I wish I had more memories of the whole senior cohort, but it was heartwarming to see everyone so involved and upbeat on Fun Day. It also made me so happy that you got to safely experience prom just in time. As for fondest memories with my senior art students, I will always remember our long days in the art studio and overseas trip to the Venice Biennale. You will be missed.
